Tyen World lore

(Unfinished)

Tyen- was created by the Gods centuries ago, they created an ancient race known today as the Titans. They have long since perished believed by the Churches of Four to have become Gods themselves. The only city that still stands of the ancient race is the Imperial City. Which is now ruled by the Dyien Empire. It is said that the Emperors blood line can be traced to one of the nine Titans who created the city.

The Church of Four- was founded by humans after discovering ancient ruin of a titan temple to the Gods. The name derives from the number of God's that were mentioned in the temple. Although there are other faiths with in Tyen, this is certainly the most widely followed. All other religions are outlawed with in the regions of the Empire.

Knights of The Four-(Paladins) They are knights who enforce the laws and rituals of the Church of the Four. They work along side the Empire's Army to ensure the sanctity of the Church. They are in charge of preventing rogue Mages from causing havoc through out Tyen.

Mage Guild- a group of civilian mages banded together to assist the Empires Army. Although they will go to battle sometimes with the the Empire. They often just study and practice their Arcane arts under the Knights of the Four's close watch.

Spoiler alert! Bad stuff happens.

(Dear Readers...This is the first RP me and Jess have done in god knows how long...so if you don't like it... in the infamous words of Dick Cheney-"Go fuck your self.") (Note from Jessy: ROFL agreed)

It was a cold winter in the land of Tyen. Art and Zen had been traveling since summer to get to the Imperial City but it was still a long ways off. The pine trees towering above them that morning were almost out of sight when Zen turned to his kitty companion and asked,

"Hey Art, think we should set up camp for the night?" Zen asked, shaking his wings to knock the frost off of them. She slowly turned to him, icicles dangling off her whiskers.
"I think so. The sun will be setting soon, and we need to get a fire going before then." She gracefully leaped onto Zen's back to scout the area ahead. "There's a grove of trees a little farther ahead... That should make for a good spot, you think?"
"You know, next time warn me before you hope on my back like that...I nearly fell over." Zen replied to her leaping onto him. "Yeah that looks like a good spot, should be far enough away from the road as to not attract unwanted attention." he said looking at the grove in which she had pointed out. Arteth ruffled her partners hair before jumping back off. She hit the ground running and soon she was on all fours covering ground quickly. Her tail quickly covered up her tracks as it trailed behind her.
Zen cracked a smile when she ruffled his hair. He hovered over the ground so he wouldn't leave any tracks either, remembering what happened the last time people were able to find their camp.

Arteth paced around the small fire watching the fish cook with a hungry gleam in her eyes.
While Art was watching the fish cook he set up the tent for the two of them. It didn't take him very long he'd gotten good at it since they had been on the road together. Every time they had some kind of meat she'd stare at it the same way. "Some things never change..." he muttered to himself knowing she'd heard him. Art's ears flicked toward the angel, "If you needed to eat more than once a month you'd stare the same." she grinned at the food flashing her sharp teeth. After a few more circles around the fire Art grabbed her fish off the fire and started ripping into it. "Check yours first. Mines not quite done." She said licking her lips.
Zen walked over to the fire where his fish was cooking and picked it up. He took a bite of it and chewed it for a moment. "Seems to be fine. Here you can have mine and I'll just eat yours when it's done." he said offering her his fish. "I know how you can't wait when it's fish." he added.

"I'm good." She said before ravaging the rest of her fish.
"I used eat them completely raw before I met you." Art stretched and licked her nose then curled up next to the fire, "So how many more days before we get there?" She had never been the the Imperial City before, but the way Zen talked about it she knew it had to be grand. She also hoped it would be the end of their running.
"It shouldn't be to much longer. Maybe two or three days, tops." he said eating some of the fish.
He'd been to the City before but it had been about a hundred years since. It was a City to be admired, the titans themselfs had helped construct the tower. Although only the emperor was allowed in the tower it's said that it's a direct conduate to the titans which long ago became gods.
Art raised her head off her paws, "The sun's going down...Put out the fire." Her ears twitched picking up small sounds here and there from the wild life around them. Quickly she started digging around the fire throwing the snow and dirt into the fire.

Zen pulled a small stone that glowed enough to provide some light for them so they could retreat to their beds with out tripping on something. "You ready?" he asked holding the tent entrance open for her to crawl in. She quickly finished with the fire and bounded into the tent on all fours. Arteth snuggled deep under her blankets, "I hate winter....." She growled.
Zen smiled as he climbed into the tent after her. "If you want we can share a bed roll if you're that cold." he said ruffling her hair like she did to him earlier. She grinned and wiggled from her bed roll to his. "I think that is a fine idea."
He wrapped his arms around her and soon fell asleep.

-Next day-
There was a loud groaning noise coming from out side the tent. Zen woke up and tapped Art on the shoulder to make sure she was awake. "I think there is something outside the tent." he said grabbing his sword from beside them. Art sprung out of the bed roll and carefully put an ear to the tent door. "It's too odd of a sound to be human..." she whispered starting to undo the tent ties so Zen could get out easily.
Zen nodded "I'll go first." he whispered as he held his sword ready. he opened the tent and darted out with his sword drawn. The ground was covered in snow, and a thick fog loomed in the air. He couldn't see anything. he looked around in a panic to see what maid the moaning sound from before. After a moment passed a humanoid silhouette appeared with in the fog. Art hissed into the fog, staying in the tent until Zen needed help. "What is it?" She hissed again.

"Stay where you are." Zen stated, staring at the silhouette. It only moaned in return and slowly moved closer. It wasn't moving naturally it seemed a bit stiff and lacking proper motor functions. It stepped out of the fog to reveal, what appeared to be a zombie. "Whoa. Didn't think we'd ever come across one of these." Zen said in surprise backing up a tad. Arts fur settled a little around her scruff. "Then kill it and come back to bed." she said scoffing and trotting back inside the tent where she curled up on Zen's bed roll. "Yell if you can't seem to kill it." she said with a yawn.
"Figures you'd make me take care of it." Zen said as he casually walked up to it and decapitated it with a flick of his wrist and sword. "Wonder why the fuck it was out here." he said cleaning the blood off his sword.
"Wondering those kind of things usually ends badly." Art called from the tent. "Maybe we should start moving again.." She started rolling up her bed roll.
"That's a good idea. Who knows if more of them are out here." Zen said, nodding and then helping pack up their stuff. "So what do you plan on doing when we finally make it to the city?" he asked, because it had just occurred to him he never asked her, her reason for wanting to go there.
